A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME
Hello my name is Charlie! I am a Software Engineer from the Chicago area. Name any major street and I will not know where it is! I am a first generation college graduate from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign! I am a social, ambitious, and loving individual who loves tech! I deeply enjoy the aspect of creating and learning new things. I wrote my first line of code in my junior year of High School. I now create websites with great joy and passion!
I have many passions and dreams, one of them being a developer at Google or Apple. There is still a hefty journey till that day, but I love to put my greatest effort forward. I love to ask deep and meaningful questions. They bring a great deal of critical thinking. Maybe it's a bit "dorky", but I enjoy challenging questions! I would say that it is within my nature to ask these questions. It is with great reason why I love coding. It is a pool of problems that need to be solved. Which brings me to my next point.
One of my biggest advocacies is personal development. You can toy with the idea that we are complex beings that need constant growth and change to become the best versions of ourselves. I have been on a journey to be consistent with my personal development as I greatly value healthy approaches to life and self. To know me is to know that I love the aspect of faith and community. Learning and growing are definitely huge areas of my life, but I also love to chill and have fun!
I am like a web browser. I have about 15 tabs open and each one is running a different part of my life. My first tab is my relationship with God. It is a work in progress, but it's running at full speed. My second tab is community. I love to know about people! Maybe you and I might think differently about this, but aren't people so interesting? Every person on this world is different. Each one with their own struggles and triumphs. Each one with their own fears and joys. Just insane right?
My third tab is Charlie. I am ever chasing the best version of myself. I use to look at life (and I probably still do) in this lens where I must win at everything, but as Jordan B. Peterson has observed "You might be winning but you're not growing, and growing might be the most important form of winning" (2018). Here's to you for making this small stop!
